Conforme prometido por Geoff Keighley, criador e apresentador do The Game Awards, a lista completa dos indicados para a edição 2025 foram anunciados nesta segunda-feira (17). Após os votos de diversos veículos ao redor do mundo serem computados, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fez história ao receber o maior número de indicações de toda a história da apresentação.
Ao todo, o jogo concorre a 19 categorias diferentes e sua desenvolvedora, a Kepler Interactive, está presente em 13. Já a Microsoft e a Electronic Arts aparecem em 10 categorias distintas, e títulos como Death Stranding 2, Donkey Kong Bonanza e Hades 2 também surgem com destaque.
No total, 102 games, estúdios e profissionais da indústria foram reconhecidos nas diversas categorias do The Game Awards 2025. Elas foram escolhidas por mais de 150 veículos ao redor do mundo, sendo que 10 membros do júri atual serviram como representantes do Brasil.

Agora que a lista foi divulgada, o The Game Awards abriu as votações para que o público possa ajudar a escolher seus vencedores. Até o dia 10 de dezembro, fãs de games de todo o mundo podem acessar o site oficial do evento para contribuir com suas opiniões e organizar suas campanhas para títulos específicos.
Vale notar que, como em edições anteriores, os votos do público vão ter um peso menor do que os dos veículos parceiros, que vão ser convidados a votar novamente. A cerimônia com os vencedores vai acontecer no dia 11 de dezembro no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles.
Mantendo a tradição de edições anteriores, a cerimônia do The Game Awards 2025 deve ser marcada pela presença de celebridades e apresentações musicais. E os trailers e anúncios, que para muitos são as principais atrações do evento, também já foram confirmados por Geoff Keighley.
